Founder, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and International Programs
I am a National Board Certified French teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in French and Linguistics, a Master’s degree in Education and a French degree called a DEUG in French as a Foreign Language (FLE). I have a passion for France and all things French. I also have a passion for language and how the brain is wired to naturally acquire language. I am the author of “Pathways to Language Fluency” as well as several other publications and curriculum materials.
I spent several years living in France. I went to college in Normandy, France and I also spent a significant amount of time in Paris. I taught elementary and middle school English in Normandy. When I returned to the United States, I taught for 3 years at the French Immersion School of Washington and then taught High School French for several years.
I love language and culture and have a passion for linguistic and Global Education.
My unique method of teaching language not only promotes fluency, but also reduces brain and sensory issues making it ideal for accommodating all learning styles and special needs.
On a personal note, I am married to my husband David and I have two sons- Daniel and Noah. I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.
